Well Cheltenham certainly proved difficult for finding winners this year and the bookies have made a right killing at the punters expense, maybe some of them will start to take a bet off me again……I doubt it.
I never back to large stakes at Cheltenham as the racing is so competitive and this year just reinforces what I already knew.
The going change for the meeting made things even more difficult than usual and for those who tipped and backed a winner or two well done as the nearest my tips could get was a neck second and from the others a broken pelvis, a tendon and a faller were amongst the results.
Back to the real world and trying to get Romany Rymes confidence and jumping sorted out. It is proving a difficult job and what we really need is a clear round to boost the horses confidence and so we owners do not have to endure another nervous wait which all owners go through when their horse falls with the main concern being for Jonathons well being and then the horse. It is not a very nice experience to be honest so lets hope he learns to stay on his feet.
I know Jonathon and Ben are putting extra schooling sessions in at home so lets hope this does the trick!
